This is a nature based therapeutically informed programme, so will be at a slightly deeper level than a standard wellbeing based programme. Participants will be invited to spend time doing guided self reflection activities each week as part of a therapeutic journey.

Each programme will have a bursary for 6 free funded 1-1 counselling sessions with Life at No.27 psychotherapists for up to 2 people that feel they need it following the end of the programme.

About the ‘reKINdle’ – Wilderness Therapeutic Programme:

This is an 8 week programme designed to give participants a break from everyday stresses and worries, while spending time in nature as part of a safe, and supportive group.

You will learn about the healing benefits of spending time in nature, be invited to take part in self reflective activities, connect with other people, and feel part of a community.

Sessions will be outdoor based with opportunities to grow in confidence, deepen your understanding of yourself, learn new skills, develop techniques to manage your own wellbeing, have a more positive outlook, and to share thoughts and feelings.

Examples of activities include nature connection, mindfulness, forest bathing, woodland arts and crafts, sensory activities, journaling, bushcraft, campfire cooking, and games. We had huge successes from our pilot programme (- everyone said how much they benefited from taking part in it!)

Who is this programme suitable for?

This is a programme for participants 18+ years old due to funding guidelines. Participants need to be happy to be outdoors during the sessions, we will have sheltered space available if the weather is likely bad. Participants need to be able to commit to the full programme of 8 sessions as much as possible.
