Neurodivergent Info & Support Sessions at Mind Ystradgynlais
What Are The Aims Of These Sessions?
To provide a safe, welcoming space where individuals can openly explore neurodiversity, understand its impact on their lives, and discover effective coping strategies. This group fosters meaningful connections with others on similar journeys, supporting each member’s unique experiences and growth.
Who Can Attend?
This group is open to individuals with mild to moderate mental health needs who either have a formal diagnosis or believe they may be neurodivergent (e.g., ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, DCD). Participants should be able to attend independently, manage themselves safely, and engage respectfully with others. Please note that this setting is not equipped to support complex needs, as it is tailored to those requiring mild to moderate support.
Before Attending:
Once we receive your referral, Jodie, our psychotherapist, will reach out via text to arrange an introductory phone call. During this call, she’ll discuss your referral, gather any necessary details, help you complete the sign-up process, and answer any questions you may have.
This group is newly formed and will be guided by Jodie, who will adapt the structure and topics based on the evolving needs and interests of participants. Initially, sessions will be held once a month for 1.5 hours, though we may increase the frequency and adjust session length based on group feedback.
Our goal is to provide a supportive, inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. We ask all attendees to contribute to a respectful and safe atmosphere.

The group provides a supportive space for open sharing, guided discussions, and the chance to shape the experience based on what attendees find most helpful.)
