Mind Ystradgynlais would love to welcome you to our Wellbeing Workshops & Sessions!
What are they for?
These workshops and sessions have been designed to help improve mood and resilience in many areas of personal wellbeing.
There are a variety of different workshops available, from self-esteem to healthy lifestyle habits, or anxiety and stress management.
We also have a number of wellbeing sessions available, such as Mindfulness, Taiichi for movement, and our Wellbeing ‘walk, talk, and coffee’ peer support group!

Who are these for?
Anyone living in the Ystradgynlais or surrounding areas, over the age of 18, who feels they would benefit from any of the workshops and sessions listed below.
We are also only able to support those with mild to moderate mental health needs.

Need to know more about our wonderful workshops and sessions? Below are some frequently asked questions which may help answer yours!
Where will the workshops & sessions be held?
The workshops and wellbeing sessions will be carried out in our wellbeing hall. You can find our building at 61-66 Pen-Y-Bryn Ystradgynlais Swansea SA9 1JB. Furthermore, our wellbeing walking group’s location will vary each month.
How accessible is the Mind building?
Our building currently has two disabled parking spaces, disabled toilet facilities, and a lift for anyone that requires it.
How long are the workshops?
Each workshop will vary in length- please see our selection of workshops on our ‘Wellbeing Workshops & Sessions’ page, to find out exact times and durations.
What happens in the workshops?
As each workshop is different, the activities will vary! However, if you have any concerns, please feel free to enquire about a particular workshop and its activities.
What is available to me, if my mental health is too severe for the workshops?
On our call with you, if you have been identified as too severe for the workshops, we will offer to signpost you to a more appropriate service- either through our own network of services, or other organisations and charities! We always want to help you, if you are struggling with your mental health.
Are the workshops free of charge?
Yes, there is currently no charge for attending any of our workshops.
However, if you still wish to donate, we are grateful for any donation amount!
Are there refreshments available at the workshops & sessions?
Yes! We offer free tea, coffee, hot chocolate, squash, water, and biscuits. We have dairy & soya milk available also.
How can I help the continuation of these free workshops?
If you’d like to help us to continue to provide our free services, we’d be grateful of a donation of any amount! If you aren’t able to donate right now, please consider us for any fundraising you plan on doing in the future!
