Our ‘In-Work Support Service’ provides high quality interventions which can help to reduce the impact of health issues in the workplace.
Offering support to both individuals and businesses.
Support for Individuals – Free, Fast-Access Counselling
If you’re aged 16 or over, living in Powys, and are employed, self-employed, or an apprentice, our free In-Work Support Service is here for you.
We offer quick access to free counselling sessions, providing support for a wide range of challenges—whether they’re related to work, personal life, mental health, or overall wellbeing. If you’re struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or at risk of taking time off, we’re here to help.
Our goal is simple: to support your health and wellbeing so you can feel better, both in and outside of work.
Get the help you need—quickly, confidentially, and free of charge.
The In-work Support Service provides up to 6 sessions of mental or physical health support.
These interventions include:
- Supported Self-Help (using the principles of CBT) – to support with learning new ways of thinking and developing coping strategies
- Counselling – a space for you to explore thoughts and feelings, with a qualified counsellor
- Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) – NICE guidance recommended treatment for PTSD and severe trauma
- Guided hypnotherapy and relaxation – for pain management
- Specialist mental health support – Focussed sessions to reach specific targets set by client
- Physiotherapy
- Osteopathy
For Businesses
The project also aims to support businesses to improve their health and wellbeing practices.
This element of the service is open to small to medium enterprises based in Powys and can help your business to create healthier workplaces, by making improvements to your health and wellbeing practices, policies or guidance.
The businesses must:
- Have its Headquarters in Powys
- Have less than 250 employees
- Have an annual turnover of less than £50m
